ChiqMode ("we") respects your privacy and processes your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data-protection law. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect and why

  • Account data (name, email, password hash) — to create and manage your account. Legal basis: contract.
  • Order & delivery data (addresses, items, amounts) — to process and ship your orders. Legal basis: contract / legal obligation (invoicing).
  • Payment data — card payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers. Legal basis: contract.
  • Communications (emails you send us) — to provide support. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Cookies / usage — see our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent.

Who we share it with

We share data only with processors that help us run the store, under data-processing agreements: our payment provider (Stripe), our shipping carrier (bpost), our email provider, and our hosting/infrastructure provider. We do not sell your data.

International transfers

Where a processor is located outside the EEA, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active, and order/invoice data for the legally required period (in Belgium, invoices are retained for 7 years). You can request deletion of data we are not legally required to keep.
